Welcome to Mrs. Vaughn's Reading Group!
Students in my reading group will grow as readers based on research-based instruction which consists of Wilson (computer program), Achieve (computer program), guided reading, independent reading, and writing assignments. Students will also read a literature book during class. Spelling will be done as an activity in class, so students in my reading group will not take a weekly spelling test. Students will be responsible for completing a monthly book report. In addition, they will be responsible for nightly homework beginning in September. The homework will consist of reading a nonfiction article and answering comprehension questions.
